Good Food Ireland, the not-for-profit, industry driven, Irish food tourism organisation, have launched their newly revamped website www.goodfoodireland.ie built by premier digital agency, biznet IIS
The redesigned site features a new homepage with improved navigation, with members being organised into categories of Places to Eat / Drink, Places to Stay / Eat, Places to Shop, Cookery Schools and Food Producers. Members are further sub categorised, allowing for easier reference, enabling visitors to the site to find the information they are after quickly and easily.
Good Food Ireland members now have more access to the Good Food Ireland website. A member can log in, upload news, special offers, events and recipes. The links for any of this features are displayed on the members profile , providing quick access to site visitors. By giving the GFI members more control of their profiles this will reduce the administration time required for the running of the site.
The site is now much more interactive for visitors as well. Site users will be able to search an interactive map of Good food Ireland’s members which is fully searchable by category. Users are now also able to share their experiences by leaving reviews on members profiles.
The new site has a ‘Featured’ section which cycles through the lastest special offers, Accommodation deals and Recipes on the homepage, as these are constantly changing it demonstrates to visitors that the site is full of fresh content.
The revamped site takes full advantage of Web 2.0, with a new interactive tab on the homepage. The Interacive section features links to Good food Ireland’s facebook and Twitter accounts, as well as their Youtube channel, The new site also features a blog and comments section with RSS feeds.
Good Food Ireland is a not-for-profit industry driven marketing organisation promoting over 250 members committed to local food. Members must meet strict standards before being accepted into the network. Its objective is to drive Ireland as a food tourism destination highlighting the cultural link between the country, its food and its people.
